Managing tickets
🚀 Neo’s project management features are new and changing rapidly. Please give feedback to Contact Support as we launch them.
Neo Project Manager can update and organise tickets in your ticket system. You can get Neo to do this by leaving a comment on a ticket, or by making a new ticket.
Leave a comment on a ticket that @ mentions Neo. The comment should describe in full what tickets to work with (e.g. all tickets with a label, in a sprint, or in this epic) and what to do (e.g. change status, assign a user).
đź’ˇ Neo can also respond to a comment on a ticket by retrying coding the ticket as described in Assign a ticket. Neo automatically works out what to do based on your comment!
Make a ticket
By default, when you assign a ticket to Neo, it will assume it is meant to write code. You can add a label to instead summon Neo as a project manager.
-
Make a ticket with instructions on how you want to manipulate other tickets
-
Add the label
neo-pjm
to the ticket -
Assign the ticket to Neo
Telling Neo the tickets to work with
Neo gets information from lots of places to work out what you want to do. You can:
-
Reference the ticket the comment is on, or its parent. e.g. “Assign all children of this ticket to Neo”.
-
Use the content of the ticket. e.g. “Break down this ticket into subtasks”.
-
Include an image. e.g. “Make tickets for all the tasks on this whiteboard”. See Images (this currently doesn’t work for images in comments, only in tickets)
-
Reference documents. e.g. “Create stories in this epic based on this PRD”. See References
-
Give complicated sequences, e.g. “Assign all tickets in this sprint to Jose if they’re frontend, or Francis if they’re backend”.
